SYNERGY OF MARKETING AND HRM WORKSHOP
Gnanam School of business organized ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON "SYNERGY OF MARKETING AND HRM" on 23.04.2017. The session started in the august presence of Dr.S.P.S Arul Doss, Chief Executive Officer, Gnanam School of Business and the chief guests were MR.S.SARAVANAN AND MR. S.MANIKANDAN (YUKTHY TRAINING)
MR.S.SARAVANAN started with the basic concepts of marketing. He dealt with many cases which made students to analyze the marketing artifices. And then he also gave the various dimensions of marketing concepts with respect to the case. Today’s business leaders understand the ongoing challenge of aligning historically soloed departments within their organization.
Typically, Marketing manages an organization’s external brand—its reputation with external stakeholders—while HR manages the internal brand—its reputation with internal stakeholders, especially employees. By creating better synergies between the two departments, companies can create a more consistent and holistic brand experience for all constituents. He made students to understand how to market the product with respect to current scenario of market and also to spend time to distinguish the various market situations from his experience.
Mr. S.MANIKANDAN provided the brief introduction about Digital HR in the current trends in corporate culture. He gave information about the big data, technology trends and digital learning & development where he pointed out what are all the skills, required to be possessed by an HR person. He conducted the activity for the students, regarding the team building, present of mind, planning and coordination to bring out innovative ideas.
Transparency between departments has evolved from an innovative concept to a corporate imperative. Human Resources and Marketing are two such departments that have traditionally run on parallel tracks, but can be stronger and more successful with frequent points of intersection said by Mr. S. Manikandan.
The relationship that companies foster with customers by defining and promoting the brand or organizational mission should be consistent with the relationship that HR builds with potential, current and former employees. While HR supports Marketing by identifying the best talent to represent the brand, the Marketing team reinforces the HR mission by clearly articulating the brand purpose to employees.
The chief guests made the students to think in various dimensions of Marketing and HR and the session was highly interactive. They were also gave the valid information around the employment opportunities. The audience were enriched with elaborative knowledge on Marketing and HR field, which could help them in their career.
